Thanks Jaquie for setting this up, this is my first time using the "BLOG" so am unsure as to what to say here but will have a dig at it. The news from Alberta today is that it's minus 19 degrees with snow storms and I am pondering about my wardrobe and if it will be adequate to keep me warm. I've never seen snow, grew up in the North West and the coldest I've experienced is probably minus 2 degrees so I am finding it difficult to get my head around that kinda cold. Anyhow this time next week I'll know what I'm in for. I have collected a few souvenirs, Vegemite, Tim Tams and Gum Leaves (still have to find out if I can take them) to share with our hosts a little bit of Aussie land. The excitement levels are increasing with a little bit of panic thinking about all the things that need to be done before I go. So very much looking forward to learning more about continuing to give Daniel, his brother Jason and ourselves "a good life", experiencing another country and meeting more families.
